This S@*T Just Got Real

Sorry about the title...it's from the movie Bad Boys and it's quoted a couple times in the movie Hot Fuzz.

Anyway, I was recently chatting with Matt from Just Another Disney Blog, about his upcoming trip to The World, and it got me thinking. When does it become real for you that you are headed to, or at Disney? Any of you who listen to Inside the Magic have probably heard Skipper Ben's segments about "Goosebump Moments." He has people write in and describe the moments when they get a little giddy about their upcoming trip. Some have included; making ADR's, receiving the Magical Express tags in the mail, and driving to a local airport to fly out.

For me, things really hit home when I get off the plane at Orlando International. It starts when I step off the plane, especially if I'm coming from a cold climate, and the warm air in the corridor hits me. Next, as I step onto the monorail type transport from one terminal to another, I know I've arrived. As I lay my eyes on the Disney Store and then take the escalator down to the lower level and get into line at the Magical Express counter, I know I'm almost home (to steal the DVC slogan.)

So how about you?? What does it for you?? When do you know it's for real??

For me it's the bus/car ride to the park that first day :-) and then again on the last day at the parks...although that feeling is "oh s&#t, I'm going home tomorrow" LOL

Great to see you posting again, keep it up!

For me a slow simmer of anticipation begins from when our travel dates are decided upon.

It builds each day as the flights and ADRs are booked. Then of course I have to open up an excel spreadsheet, check out the online park calenders, get my Mickey slide rule out, and begin planning every hour of every day.

In recent trips the giddiness has shifted. It used to be stepping on the MCO monorail. The past two trips it has been riding Magical express.

I will have to get back to you on the trip coming up in July. We are flying into Sanford instead of MCO. We'll have a rental car and two days at Cocoa beach before arriving at Saratoga. Our first DVC experience using developer points.

I will say that the one constant highlight has always been riding the Disney monorail from the TTC through the Contemporary to reach the Magic Kingdom.

You do realize that I could start to go on and on at this point...?

For me, I like driving for the anticipation that comes with it. We drive from Missouri so just about when we are tired of driving we hit that Florida border and from then on the anticipation builds. Then we get into Orlando and start seeing highway signs. Then when we hit that WDW main entrance and I can't help but smile. I'm in Disney. What a great feeling. Thanks for that post.
I also wanted to let you know that I am trying to get back into the blogging thing lately so there are some new posts if you'd like to stop by. Thanks. Jeff from MO

I almost always start and end my Disney Vacations at the Magic Kingdom, so it gets real for me right before the Magic Kingdom's gates open and I see the opening ceremony. It hits me at that spot every time! Of course it hits me again when when I see the castle for the first time on a trip. I get choked up every time.

But that's all for a normal Disney trip. This past trip was nothing but normal. Remind me to tell you about it sometime.

I don't enjoy the travel, so for me it's after we've gotten into our room, dumped some stuff, freshened up, and have put on our WDW "gear." Then it's that FIRST STEP outside the room that the joy begins for me!

Hiv disease for the last 3 years and having hard to eat and cough are nightmares, especially the first year. At this stage, the immune system is severely weakened, and the risk of contracting opportunistic infections is much greater. However, not everyone with HIV will go on to develop AIDS. The earlier you receive treatment, the better your outcome will be.I started taking ARV to avoid early death but I had faith in God that i would be healed someday. As a Hiv patient we are advise to be taking antiretroviral treatments to reduce our chance of transmitting the virus to others , few weeks ago i came on search on the internet if i could get any information on Hiv treatment with herbal medicine, on my search i saw a testimony of someone who has been healed from Hiv her name was Achima Abelard and other Herpes Virus patient Tasha Moore also giving testimony about this same man,Called Dr Itua Herbal treatment.I was moved by the testimony and i contacted him by his Email.drituaherbalcenter@gmail.com . We chatted and he send me a bottle of herbal medicine I drank it as he instructed me to.After drinking it he ask me to go for a test that how i ended my suffering life of Hiv patent,I'm cured and free of Arv Pills.I'm forever grateful to him Doctor Itua Herbal Treatment..He assured me he can cure the following disease..Hiv,Cancer,Herpes Virus,Hpv,Pile,Weak Erection,Lyme Disease,Epilepsy,Glaucoma.,Brain Tumor, psoriasis, Cataracts,Macular degeneration,Cardiovascular disease,Chronic Diarrhea,Lung disease.Enlarged prostate,Osteoporosis.Alzheimer's disease,
